Antique Victorian Aesthetic Movement Occasional Table c.1890
A late 19th century Aesthetic Movement ebonised occasional table, the octagonal top enclosed by a burr walnut crossbanded border and moulded edge, set over turned legs featuring recessed brass beaded stringing, united by an X-form stretcher and terminating in decorative brass and ceramic castors.
Retaining the maker’s plaque for Urquhart & Adamson of Liverpool to the underside, this is a confident late Victorian piece of decorative furniture, designed for use beside seating or as a lamp table.
Very good antique condition with some surface wear consistent with age, some minor losses to the brass beading and one seized castor. Structurally sound, clean and ready to place in the home.
