Set of Three Antique Victorian Mahogany Dining Chairs c.1890
An attractive set of three late Victorian mahogany dining chairs in the Aesthetic Movement taste. The shaped backs feature a crest rail centred by a carved roundel with a classical urn motif, above a decorative horizontal splat with incised geometric and foliate detail, all over finely upholstered seats raised on turned and reeded legs.
Ideal as a small set of dining chairs, but their strong decorative appeal make them particularly suitable as occasional seating in a sitting room or hall where a matched set of three is useful.
Very good antique condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age. Structurally sound, clean and ready to place in the home.
