Antique Victorian Oak Roll Top Writing Desk c.1890
A late Victorian oak roll top writing desk featuring a tambour-front upper section enclosing a fitted interior of pigeonholes and small drawers above a pull-out writing surface. The desk is raised on slender baton-turned legs terminating in small ball feet, beneath an arrangement of three drawers around a central kneehole, with a pierced gallery to the top.
Constructed in solid oak, with an attractively shaped side profile and subtle Arts & Crafts influence.
Presented in very good antique condition with a warm, well developed patina and minor surface wear consistent with age and use. Structurally sound, with a smoothly operating tambour and complete with working keys for the roll top and drawers. Clean and ready to place in the home.
English, circa 1890.
