Antique Edwardian Mahogany Anglo-Japanese Pagoda Occasional Table c.1910
An elegant Edwardian mahogany Anglo-Japanese pagoda-style occasional table in the Aesthetic Movement taste, in the manner of E.W. Godwin. The rectangular solid well-figured top enclosed by raised side galleries and inlaid with fine stringing forming a border, four fan-shaped corner inlays and a central oval motif.
The apron is adorned with stencilled scrolling decoration and pierced corner brackets, above three graduated asymmetrical tiers with stylised retaining rails, all raised on slender turned legs.
Very good antique condition with only some minor surface wear consistent with age and use. Structurally sound, clean and ready to place in the home.
English, circa 1910.
