Antique 18th Century Georgian Oak Lowboy c.1750
A characterful Georgian oak lowboy dating to the mid 18th century. The top is formed from two framed wide boards with a simple moulded edge and a richly worn surface. Below, a long drawer sits over two short drawers divided by a finely shaped kneehole apron, all raised on cabriole legs terminating in pad feet.
An incredibly heavy and solid piece of honest Georgian oak furniture, made for proper everyday use.
Very good antique condition with surface wear and patina consistent with age, most notably to the top, where there is age-related separation between the two main oak boards. Structurally solid, clean and ready to place in the home.
