Antique 18th Century Welsh Oak Court Cupboard / Didarn

A charming 18th century Welsh oak court cupboard, didarn or cwpwrrd deuddarn, with a moulded cornice top above an overhanging heavily carved frieze flanked by hanging turned pendant buns with acorn finials. Two panelled cupboards bound the three central drawers along with the often present hidden shelf. The lower section is made up of one substantial double door cupboard with a single internal raised shelf.

Very good condition, structurally all in good order with an exceptional aged colour and patina. As expected in a piece of this age there is some evidence of past, long gone woodworm to the back, but this is no longer present.

Splits in two for transit.
