Antique Edwardian Mahogany Demilune Fold-Over Card Table c.1905
An Edwardian mahogany Sheraton Revival demilune fold-over card table, the semicircular top featuring intricate geometric crossover inlay, opening to reveal a green baize playing surface framed by a gilt-tooled border, set over a frieze decorated with stringing, all raised on slender square tapered inlaid legs terminating in castors.
The narrow demilune form serves as an unobtrusive side table along a hallway or drawing room wall. When drawn forward into the room, extending the rear support leg smoothly reveals the concealed card drawer and transforms the piece into a stable, full-circular playing surface.
Very good antique condition, displaying light historic surface wear and historic sun-fading across the green playing surface. Structurally sound and ready to place.
