Antique George III Mahogany Bedside Commode c.1800
A late Georgian mahogany bedside commode with a shaped tray top and pierced carry handles, above a pair of cupboard doors and a single drawer faced as two short drawers, all standing on plain square legs with small concealed castors to the front. Retains its original brass oval backplate handles and small turned knob to the door.
A practical bedside piece that also suits a hall or living space, with the tray top offering a useful surface for lamps, books or glassware, with discreet storage below.
Presented in very good antique condition with a settled, aged patina and light surface wear that reflects two centuries of domestic use. Structurally sound, clean and ready to place in the home.
