Antique 19th Century Anglo Indian Carved Hardwood Armchair

Regular price £0.00

Unit price per

A fabulous late 19th century heavily carved Anglo Indian ebonised hardwood armchair.

Features a wonderfully decorative pierced back foliate design surrounding a carved seated deity holding a snake and a peacock. Raised on short carved turned front legs, the arm uprights feature beautifully carved lion head decorations.

Very good overall condition, all structurally sound and in good order. There are some very minor aged losses in places and some wear to upholstery, but this is all part of the charm and character of this stunning chair. A real statement piece.

Indian, late 19th century.
