Antique Early Victorian Mahogany Work Table
A particularly fine quality mid 19th century mahogany work table of rectangular form, the hinged top veneered in richly figured flame mahogany with a deep warm patina, opening to reveal a divided, lined interior.
A beautifully formed bone escutcheon retains its original working lock and key, sitting above a finely shaped apron, all raised on attractively ring turned legs.
A practical and decorative piece — equally suited as a small side table, bedside, hall table or sewing table.
Presented in very good antique condition with some minor surface marks and age-related wear. Structurally sound, clean and ready to place in the home.
English, circa 1850.
