Antique Kingwood Parquetry Ormolu Mounted Bureau Plat Desk
Fabulous inset leather top desk with just the most attractive amount of wear, above three frieze working drawers to the front and three blind/dummy drawers to the rear, leading to cabriole legs terminating in decorative sabots.
Marked inside S & H Jewell, who likely purchased and resold the piece around the turn of the century. The gilded ormolu mounts are perfectly and naturally aged. The overall condition is excellent with minor losses to the veneer and some light, beautiful age related surface wear. Supplied with original decorative key for locking middle drawer.
