Antique 19th Century Mahogany Large Scotch Chest of Drawers Circa 1880
A stunning large Victorian mahogany Scotch chest featuring an extensive arrangement of drawers all fronted in beautiful figured mahogany.
There are three large deep wonderfully shaped hat drawers above three large graduated drawers as well as a hidden cushion drawer to the top and a further hidden drawer to the bottom rail. The drawers are flanked by fabulous reeded and turned columns with carved thistle decorations to the tops and tall turned legs below.
Excellent overall condition, structurally all in good order with smooth opening drawers the piece is superbly clean and ready for use in the home. There is a good aged colour and patina to the mahogany surfaces but generally the surface wear is very light. The piece separates into two parts for transit, with the top section lifting off the base.
