Antique Angus Menstrie Roll Top Tambour Desk Circa 1900
A beautiful solid oak roll top desk by William Angus and Company of London and Menstrie, Scotland, being marked Angus Menstrie, circa 1900.
Features a superb quality, smoothly working ‘D' shaped tambour roll top with internal pigeon hole storage. There are four drawers to the left pedestal and three to the right, with the bottom drawer being two drawers in depth. There is also a large central drawer, as well as a pull-out writing surface to each pedestal.
Very good original condition, everything is present and in good order, lots of lovely aged surface wear and patina. There is minor evidence of some very old worm to the side panels but not generally visible, and there is a minor bit of marker pen to the front edge of the tambour.
