Antique Edwardian Arts & Crafts Oak Occasional Table c.1910
An Edwardian oak occasional table or pub table, the circular top featuring a central oxblood panel framed within a thumb-moulded oak border, all raised on four square, tapered, flared legs, united by an X-frame stretcher and terminating in ball feet.
Commissioned from Birmingham outfitters Harris & Sheldon Ltd, the substantial construction and cross-bracing reflect a build quality engineered to be robust enough for commercial environments like public houses and hotel parlours, substantiated by the original maker's plaque retained to the underside.
Very good antique condition, displaying light surface wear and minor scuffs consistent with age and commercial use. Structurally sound, clean and ready for immediate placement.
English, circa 1910.
