Antique Edwardian Mahogany Occasional Table c.1900
An Edwardian mahogany occasional table of square form in the Chippendale manner, the shaped top featuring a Sheraton-style satinwood cross-banded border and boxwood stringing, set over a plain frieze with solid scrolled corner brackets, all raised on slender square legs united by a sweeping cross-stretcher.
A notably high-end Edwardian example, well-proportioned as an elegant lamp table or wine table. It provides a highly functional, stable surface tailored for placement beside an armchair or sofa in a formal drawing room or study.
Very good antique condition with minor surface wear consistent with age. Structurally sound and ready to place.
English, circa 1900.
