Antique Kingwood Marquetry Ormolu Mounted Envelope Card Table
A fine kingwood envelope opening ormolu mounted card table with magnificent floral marquetry decoration to the parquetry top. The tabletop rotates and opens in the envelope style to reveal the green baize playing surface inside, above a rocaille frieze featuring a single drawer to one side, leading to cabriole legs terminating in decorative sabots.
Marked inside S & H Jewell, who likely purchased and resold the piece around the turn of the century. The overall condition is excellent with some light age related surface wear and some wear to the baize surface.
