Antique Mahogany Chippendale Commode Chair Circa 1760
A fine mahogany Chippendale period commode chair dating to around 1760 of large proportions with beautifully carved splat back and decorative top rail, upholstered in a fabulous quality stunning floral fabric.
This would have been used as a dining chair and a screen would have been used to allow the use of the commode without leaving the dining room. It would work wonderfully as a side chair or bedroom chair.
Very good condition, structurally all in very good order with just some attractive age related surface wear.
