Antique Victorian Bamboo Occasional Table c.1890
A late 19th century bamboo occasional table, the octagonal top raised on gently splayed legs united by a lower triangular tier and reinforced by typical decorative supports below the tabletop. A good original example with excellent colour, showcasing the fashionable Aesthetic Movement’s Anglo-Japanese influence of the period.
Very good antique condition with only some light wear to the original woven surfaces consistent with age, and one later replacement decorative support piece below the tabletop. Structurally sound and ready to place in the home.
English, circa 1890.
