Antique Victorian Oak Green Man Armchair
A fabulous 19th century oak armchair with extensively carved foliate decoration featuring a depiction of the Green Man to the centre of the seat back, the mythological symbol of the rebirth of nature.
The lift out seat panel is traditionally upholstered in a fine floral fabric above the bobbin turned front legs which reach up to support the beautifully aged arms.
Very good condition, structurally all sound with just some stunning aged wear and colour.
