Antique Victorian Oak Hall Chair c.1890
A late Victorian oak hall chair with an attractive upright framed back, surmounted by a scrolled crest rail and centred by a fielded panel carved with floral rosette. The single piece solid plank seat has gently softened edges and is raised on ring-turned front legs.
A decorative chair intended for occasional sitting or perching in a hall or landing, it also works well as an accent chair in a bedroom or study.
Very good antique condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age. Structurally sound, clean and ready to place in the home.
English, circa 1890.
