An iconic chair designed by Gordon Russell and manufactured by Swiss company Giroflex. This original design is somewhat like an office version of the classic Eames lounge chair, with wraparound wooden back and seat supporting the leather cushion sections, atop a revolving polished aluminium star-shaped base, with no height adjustment on this model.
The leather has aged perfectly so is lovely and supple, no rips or tears, just a few age-related surface marks and one or two small drips of paint. The black paint has worn away from some of the wooden edges as shown but everything else is in very good order.
This is the very chair used by Parkinson for his show during the 70’s!
