Mid Century Upholstered Swivel Office Desk Chair by Sankey Sheldon
A quality mid century upholstered office/desk chair by English makers Sankey Sheldon. This chair is incredibly comfortable, with swivel seat and reclining back seat panel, all raised on attractive retro covered wheels.
This chair is not perfect but is very much in good enough to be put to use and enjoyed. It could be restored but this is not absolutely necessary. The upholstery is in generally good condition considering the colour, it has been cleaned but there remain some darker areas/marks as seen. There is some wear to the rope edges at the front of the arms which have become a little threadbare from friction against a desk.
The chair is not fixed to the base so the chair simply slots into the base meaning there is a little movement but not too noticeable when sat in the chair. The plastic wheels within the chrome housings are rather misshapen from use over the years also.
Not perfect, but still an incredibly attractive, ridiculously comfortable chair with bags of style!
