Shannon Oak Swivel and Rocking Captains Desk Chair
A superbly made swivel and rocking captains chair by The Shannon Limited of Ropemaker Street, London. Fabulous form with finely turned spindle back, shaped arm supports and decorative seat panel.
The chair swivels at a consistent height but it features a mechanism that allows the height of the chair to be adjusted by swivelling too. When the decorative cast iron collar is held in place the height can be adjusted by swivelling.
