A stunning little 19th century mahogany occasional table or side table with beautiful turned and reeded columns below an interestingly shaped tabletop with extended rounded corners, raised on wonderfully dainty cabriole legs.
The underside of the tabletop is decorated with a lovely carved frieze to each side, and the table is stamped “No.116” underneath.
The general condition of the table is very good, it just has some quite extensive aged wear to the tabletop, but it is not unattractive. The table is sturdy and robust but the nature of the design and daintiness of the legs means there is some very slight movement.
Just a fabulous looking table with huge amounts of character.
English, late 19th century.
